Marketing and Sales Executive at VTC Cameroon

Contract Type : Full Time


Salary : Ranging from 100,000 XAF- 250, 000 XAF depending if candidates meet requirements perfectly.


Location : National Territory


Required Experience:  2+ years( in IT or Technology will be a plus)

Brief description:


  • Responsible for developing, deploying and managing marketing and sales activities from start to end. Also responsible for selling VTC Cameroon’s products and services to our target customers which includes individuals, businesses and government organisations.

  • As well as approaching potential customers with the aim of winning new business; sales executives work to maintain good relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat business wherever possible.

  • The sales industry is target driven and as a consequence the work can sometimes be demanding and pressurised.

  • Prospecting and documentation of client's’ requirements and proposing our solutions.

  • Cost evaluation and budgeting for all marketing campaigns to be conducted Responsible for data collection, analysis and conception of new tactics to optimize campaigns based on client's’ interest. Responsible for presenting a report showing the impact and ROI of the campaign to be shared with clients.


1. Duties of the Marketing and Sales personnel:


  • listening to customer requirements and presenting appropriately to make a sale;

  • maintaining and developing relationships with existing customers in person and via telephone calls and emails;

  • cold calling to arrange meetings with potential customers to prospect for new business;

  • responding to incoming email and phone enquiries;

  • acting as a contact between a company and its existing and potential markets;

  • negotiating the terms of an agreement and closing sales;

  • gathering market and customer information;

  • representing their company at trade exhibitions, events and demonstrations;

  • negotiating on price, costs, delivery and specifications with buyers and managers;

  • challenging any objections with a view to getting the customer to buy;

  • advising on forthcoming product developments and discussing special promotions;

  • creating detailed proposal documents, often as part of a formal bidding process which is largely dictated by the prospective customer;

  • liaising with suppliers to check the progress of existing orders;

  • checking the quantities of goods on display and in stock;

  • recording sales and order information and sending copies to the sales office, or entering figures into a computer system;

  • reviewing your own sales performance, aiming to meet or exceed targets;

  • gaining a clear understanding of customers' businesses and requirements;

  • making accurate, rapid cost calculations and providing customers with quotations;

  • feeding future buying trends back to employers;

  • attending team meetings and sharing best practice with colleagues.

  • Preparing, planning and project managing the publication of all publicity material to maximise brand promotion.

  • Creating marketing campaigns and working with the company's external PR agency to see them executed.

  • Creating and developing new innovative ways to communicate the company message to their existing customers.

  • Contributing to the annual sales and marketing plan.

  • Planning and project managing marketing events and evaluating their success.

  • Evaluating the effectiveness of all marketing activity.

  • Developing and implementing an internal marketing programme.

  • Supporting the marketing manager in day to day marketing activities.

  • Plan, develop and deliver campaigns as agreed within timescales

2. Requirements for the position:


  • Bachelor degree in marketing, communication or any equivalent business degree.

  • Male preferably or young dynamic and proactive female.

Working conditions


  • The position is full time. Shall start with 3months probation period.

  • Working days shall be Monday to Saturday (8am – 5:30pm). In the absence of any urgent tasks, work on Saturday would finish at 1:00 pm.
